Hi! Welcome to my website :)

My name is Sasha Mintz and I am currently at the University of Southern California for my Ph.D. on the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship (GRFP) and USC-Carnegie Fellowship.

I am advised by Dr. Vera Gluscevic in USC’s CosmoLab research group, and Dr. Josh Simon at Carnegie Observatories.

What is dark matter? Is it real?

If you are unfamiliar with the topic, check out the History of Dark Matter tab

I have been involved in a variety of projects including:

  • Water megamaser disks

  • Black hole-galaxy co-evolution

  • Quasar Outflow Identifications

  • Ultrafaint Dwarf Galaxies
